Military Vehicle Mount Antenna

Features: BVM-225-450 Omni-directional UHF antenna is rugged all weather model, and does not require any field tuning or adjustments. The compact size of omni-directional UHF antenna allows easy handling, shipping and highly suitable receiving, transmitting, scanning, monitoring, surveillance and jamming applications without having the requirement of multiple antennas. The N-Female termination of antenna is fixed at the bottom of the mounting flange for complete weather protection. Cylindrical shell/enclosure is used for low wind loading and for minimal effect of ice formation on the antenna operation as well as providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
Design: The antenna can be dismantled from the top of NATO mounting base and top section (radiating element) can be removed as and when required to do so. The top of NATO 4 holes SS spring base uses NATO 50mm external thread and bottom of fiberglass/ABS radome (radiating element section) uses NATO 50mm internal thread. A protective top cap is also supplied with the base of antenna to protect the NATO 50mm thread portion when antenna is not in use. Both portion of antenna can be assembled together without using any special tools.
Constructions: The UHF omni antenna is consisting of ultra corrosion resistant large diameter radiating element enclosed in ABS radome. The special impedance matching technique is used for smooth VSWR and 2dBi. gain over the entire 225-450 MHz. frequency band. The ABS has excellent transparency for Radio Signal and mechanically Robust to support extra mechanical strength to the jammer collinear antenna.
Mounting Procedures: The antenna is supplied with standard NATO 4 holes mounting pattern with stainless steel spring fitted at the base of antenna making it rigid to withstand tough MIL environmental condition. The N-Female termination of antenna is provided at the bottom of mounting flange.
