Wide Band Discone Antenna

Design Features: AWD-1117 wide band discone antenna is specially designed for omni-directional coverage. Due to its low VSWR through entire band from 1100-1700 MHz, this discone antenna can be used as a transmitting and receiving antenna with high efficiency, to meet the broadband requirement of a base station antenna such as spectrum monitoring or jamming application. The compact size of dicone antenna allows easy handling and specially designed mounting hardware results in fast installation. The discone antenna is supplied complete in assembled condition. This discone antenna is designed to mount on the vertical pole having diameter between 25-52mm with supplied mounting hardware. The antenna is also suitable for man-pack application if used with N-Male to N-Male adaptor.

Constructions: The AWD-1117 Wide Band Discone Antenna is rugged all weather model, enclosed in a ABS radome, uses all brass elements and does not require any field tuning or adjustments. The AWD-1117 wide band discone antenna consists of all brass radiating elements and enclosed in fiber glass housing. The ABS has excellent transparency for Radio Signal and mechanically Robust to support extra mechanical strength to the discone antenna. Cylindrical enclosure is used for low wind loading and for minimal effect of ice formation on the antenna operation as well as providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance. The mounting hardware is made of marine grade stainless steel.
